Beyond web development, I am a huge Houston Rockets fan, passionate about food and drink, enjoy playing sand volleyball and occasionally you might find me online running around the various destinations in Destiny 2 as a Hunter.
Currently I work as the primary technical expert on frontend development and coding standards for the marketing department on the conversion optimization team at an e-commerce company.
Serving as project leader and technical mentor to my team and peers, I provide UI/UX recommendations and direction to the design team ensuring that design elements meet standards, support marketing goals and provide optimal user experience.
Often I scope and outline functional requirements and acceptance criteria for new initiatives and long-term projects.
In a previous life, working at an agency, I was often asked to write blog articles about web design and development topics. Although not a writer I do enjoy very much writing about web development and plan to start back up in the near future.
Below are some samples of my previous blog articles.
In the past I have spoken at a number of conferences on a number of different topics related to web design, development and marketing focused efforts.
Speaking at conferences and interacting with other web professionals is something I am passionate about and plan to get back into in the near future.
Once upon a time, early on in my career my portfolio was featured in the UX issue of a prominent web design publication, Web Designer magazine.
